Therefore, the Ministry of Education has taken measures to encourage sports students to participate in recreational sports activities by using sports Olympiads and invigorating programs (1). In-school sports Olympiads are a window through which a sea of benefits can be crystallized in the individual and social life of students (2).The overall purpose of this study was to compare the level of social participation of students participating and non-participating in sports Olympiads.

According to Morgan's table, 334 people (167 students participating in the in-school sports Olympiad and 167 students not participating) were selected as the sample size by simple random sampling. Data collection tool in the present study included a questionnaire of social participation of Sohrabi et al (2010). Independent t-tests were used to test the research hypotheses.
Results:

Variable Groups Mean t sig
social participation Students participating in the Olympiad 3/50 4/287 0/001
Non-participating students in the Olympiad 2/05

According to the results of the above table, it was found that there was a significant difference between the status of social participation and its components among students participating in non-school sports Olympiads.
