Abstract
The present study, entitled “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Comparing Individual and Group Coaching: A Data-Driven Analysis for Enhancing Performance, Team Cohesion, and Athletes’ Personal Development”, examines the impact of emerging AI technologies on transforming coaching approaches in sports. The main objective of this research is to analyze the function of AI in optimizing decision-making processes, training design, and human interactions within both individual and group coaching contexts. Findings indicate that in individual coaching, intelligent systems—through the analysis of physiological, performance, and psychological data—enable the design of personalized training programs and continuous adjustment of athletes’ progress. This process enhances motivation, self-awareness, and athletic efficiency. Conversely, in group coaching, AI improves coordination, cohesion, and collective decision-making quality by analyzing communication networks and mining team interaction data. In particular, the use of Social Network Analysis (SNA) assists coaches in identifying key roles within the team and strengthening weak connections. Furthermore, AI contributes to talent identification and personal development by uncovering hidden patterns in performance data, thereby recognizing athletes’ potential from early stages and guiding their growth. Accordingly, integrating individual and group coaching with AI-driven data analysis represents a complementary and effective approach to achieving sustainable and multidimensional performance in sports. The results emphasize that investing in coach education and developing AI-based analytical tools can foster a new generation of data-driven coaches and intelligent decision-making in sports.
