| Abstract |
| Introduction: As football has evolved into a complex and highly competitive industry, the need for a comprehensive framework to evaluate club performance, moving beyond purely athletic or financial criteria, has become critical. This article aims to present a holistic evaluation model by exploring the key performance indicators (KPIs) for football clubs. Methods: The present research employs a descriptive-analytical approach. By utilizing extensive bibliographic reviews and documentary analysis (including scientific articles and reports from international football governing bodies), the study identifies and categorizes the essential performance indicators. Results: Performance indicators are categorized across multiple dimensions, including: organizational and infrastructural (such as academy quality and facility standards), operational and managerial (like strategic planning and leadership effectiveness), financial performance (revenues and expenditures), and inter-dimensional sports-financial metrics (such as transfer market efficacy). These findings underscore the critical importance of a dynamic interplay between on-field success and financial sustainability. Conclusion: The results indicate that a comprehensive assessment of club performance necessitates an integrated, multidimensional approach. The adoption of frameworks such as the Balanced Scorecard is recommended to ensure that strategic objectives are aligned with financial, sporting, operational, and social indicators. This integrated approach will empower executives to make more informed decisions, optimize resource allocation, and ultimately achieve both long-term sustainability and success within the football industry. |
