Introduction:
The purpose of this research was to examine the role of sports diplomacy in achieving the major goals of the Islamic Republic of Iran, with a look at the general policies of the Seventh Development Plan.
Methods:
This research is of a quantitative type and a survey method, which was used to collect data from a researcher-made questionnaire. The questions of the questionnaire were designed based on the categories obtained from in-depth interviews with experts. The statistical population of the research was doctoral students (master's degree or bachelor's degree) and professors and elites of sports management and managers with experience and knowledge of the subject, and the number of samples was based on the number of questions in the questionnaire (at least 5 to 10 people per question) derived from the conceptual model.
Results:
The results showed that according to the interpretation pattern in structural equation modeling and since the t statistic value of all paths is greater than 1.96, it can be said that the corresponding path is significant at the 95% level, so all The hypotheses examined in the present research are confirmed
Conclusion:
According to the findings of the research, it is suggested to form a Sports Diplomacy Policy Council with the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Minister of Sports and Youth, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, the Minister of Education, the Minister of Science, Research and Technology and other officials, so that the place of diplomacy The sports of the country should be determined in the government plans and the custodian body should be determined for this matter and related strategies should be developed.
