Abstract
Land use planning, as a spatial planning and management process, plays a significant role in the equitable distribution of public sports spaces. This article examines the impact of land use planning on the distribution of these spaces and its importance in promoting public health and social vitality.
The results show that the lack of attention to land use planning principles leads to an unequal distribution of sports spaces and ultimately leads to a decrease in the community's access to sports facilities. Also, recent studies show that cities that have used scientific approaches in land use planning have been able to achieve a better distribution of sports spaces.
This article is a review based on scientific articles published in the last 10 years and examines the experiences and results of current research in this field.
According to the findings, it is essential that urban policymakers pay special attention to land use planning principles in their planning so that they can distribute sports spaces equitably and promote community health.
