| Introduction: In the rapidly evolving landscape of professional sports, innovation and the integration of new technologies have emerged as undeniable driving forces. This abstract explores their pivotal role in advancing the development and enhancing performance across the industry. The aim of the present study was to investigate the role of innovation and new technologies in the development of professional sports. Methods: The statistical population and sample of this study included all amateur martial artists in active sports clubs across the country (the region targeted by the researcher) in 2025. From this population, 380 people were selected using the convenience sampling method. Given the geographical dispersion of the community and difficult access to samples, the convenience sampling method was used. The research tool was provided to the samples online to facilitate data collection. Results: The results showed that there is a significant relationship between innovation and new technologies and the development of professional sports at the 0.001 level, confirming the significant importance of the role of technology and innovation in improving professional sports. Conclusion: Therefore, it can be concluded that innovation and new technologies play a key and transformative role in the development of professional sports. These technologies improve the level of competition by improving athlete performance, increasing the accuracy of sports data analysis, optimizing training programs, and preventing injuries. Also, the use of wearable devices, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and big data analysis has provided new opportunities to improve the quality of sports management and attract audiences. As a result, technological innovations are considered as the driving force behind the sustainable growth of professional sports globally. |
