| Abstract |
| Objective: Determining the salary or contract amount of players is an important part of sports economics. (Tayebi & et al, 2022). The purpose of this research was to predict the prices of Iranian Premier League wrestlers using artificial intelligence. Methodology: The research method was a mixed exploratory one. The statistical population of the qualitative part of the research included managers, supervisors, coaches of the Premier League wrestling teams, and wrestling experts, twelve of whom were selected using the snowball method until saturation point was reached. In the quantitative section, the statistical population included all wrestlers present in the Iranian Premier Wrestling League in the years 1400-1403. The research tool in the qualitative method included in-depth interviews, the reliability of which was calculated as 88% through the test-retest method. The data required for the quantitative analysis were also collected from reputable sites and the Iranian Wrestling League Organization. Also, the model design was carried out through radial neural networks using R software. Findings: The research findings in the qualitative section showed that the wrestlers' positions over the past five years, personal characteristics, physical abilities, weight loss rate, and the club's financial strength are effective in determining the price of wrestlers. Also, in the quantitative section, a model with three hidden layers was designed that had the lowest error rate in predicting wrestlers' prices. Conclusion: The design of this model helps sponsors, supervisors, and coaches of wrestling clubs to attract talented and promising wrestlers with minimal cost and a high level of capability. |
