| Research Aim: The use of neuropsychological interventions as one of the treatment methods for attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder improves and controls the defects and limitations of attention and behavior of people suffering from this disorder. The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of neuropsychological interventions on visual-auditory attention and social perception of children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. Research method: The intended research population included all male students of the second and third grades of elementary school with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder with the age group of 8-9 years old in Khorramabad city, based on the available sampling method, 40 students were selected after confirming the entry criteria. were selected as a statistical sample. Data collection tools included the Connors questionnaire for teachers, the Wechsler-4 intelligence scale, the IVA-2 visual-auditory attention test, and the social perception questionnaire for children and adolescents. In this regard, based on the pre-test scores, the subjects were divided into two groups of 20 people. The intervention program consisted of 12 sessions of 45 minutes based on Captain Log's neuropsychological software. The statistical analysis of the data was done using the one-way covariance regression test by removing the covariance effect of the pre-test. Findings: The results showed that neuropsychological interventions had a significant effect on visual attention (P=0.001 and F=18.44), auditory attention (P=0.001 and F=13.27) and social perception (P=0.001 and 157.45). =F) children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder and it improves it. Conclusion: According to the results obtained from this research, neuropsychological interventions can be used to improve visual attention, auditory attention and social perception of children with attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder. |
