| Introduction: Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an integral part of daily life, offering vast opportunities while posing ethical, social, and technical challenges. In the realm of professional sports, AI is catalyzing a shift in club management, moving teams from reliance on intuition to embracing data-driven strategies. article examines the application of AI as a managerial assistant, focusing on its capacity to translate abstract data into actionable insights for optimizing club operations. The analysis centers on three domains: talent scouting, performance enhancement, and strategic decision-making. Methods: Employing a narrative literature review methodology (with AI tools like Gemini 2.5 Pro used for linguistic refinement under authorial oversight), the study identifies significant improvements driven by AI (also INSF). Results: In talent scouting, algorithms provide objective player assessments by analyzing extensive data, presented via dashboards to create clear, objective criteria for selection. In performance enhancement, AI's role extends beyond personalized training and injury prediction. It assists by analyzing the nuances of individual player performance fluctuations. These insights inform broader decisions, impacting both internal dynamics (e.g., staff relationships) and external strategies (e.g., contract negotiations, participation in national or international events). From a strategic perspective, AI supports leadership by applying predictive analytics to game outcomes and resource allocation, thereby increasing operational efficiency and competitive advantage. It functions as a crucial assistant, helping to prevent problems, solve immediate issues, and dynamically modify existing strategic plans based on real-time data. Conclusion: AI presents significant potential for optimizing sports club management. However, realizing this potential requires addressing key challenges such as data governance, implementation costs, and ethical concerns. The authors emphasize that sustainable success and a durable competitive advantage depend on a balanced approach, one that integrates powerful AI insights with indispensable human expertise and strategic oversight. |
