| Abstract Introduction: The emergence of advanced technologies—particularly artificial intelligence, cloud computing, augmented reality, and wearable sensors—has profoundly transformed the structure and quality of sports competitions. Artificial intelligence has extended its influence beyond technical aspects, engaging legal, ethical, and international policy dimensions. The establishment of transparent standards for sports algorithms and data management is now essential to ensure fairness and equality in athlete evaluation. Methods: This study employed a descriptive-survey design. The statistical population included 750 managers and officials responsible for organizing sports club competitions in Isfahan and Tehran during 2024. According to Morgan’s table, 254 participants were randomly selected through cluster sampling. Data were collected using the Artificial Intelligence Questionnaire developed by Chen et al. (2022), consisting of 23 items across six subscales. The validity of the questionnaire was confirmed, and its reliability coefficient was calculated at α = 0.94. Results: Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses—including normality, t-tests, and Friedman tests—revealed that all research hypotheses were supported. The findings indicate that emerging technologies exert a positive and significant impact on the future of sports competitions. Conclusion: Emerging technologies play a constructive role in shaping the future of sports competitions and their core components. The strongest influence was observed in promoting technological justice, while the weakest effect related to reducing unconscious bias. Technological advances in sports clarify the boundary between effort, skill, and chance, reinforcing fairness and transparency. The future of sports will represent a fusion of computational power, data analytics, human intelligence, and ethical integrity—where technology serves as a reliable partner ensuring justice and performance quality. |
