| Introduction: Sporting events, as symbols of national and global solidarity, provide an exceptional opportunity for different countries to showcase their athletic and cultural capabilities. Therefore, the objective of the present study was to compare the performance evaluation indicators of various successful countries in sporting events. Methods: This study was conducted using content analysis and utilized library resources, official documents, valid scientific research, and media and scientific archives to gather various indicators. The research examined the performance indicators of various countries (United States, Norway, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, and Japan), comparing them with Iran regarding their respective indigenous success indicators, their results in the Paris Olympics, and the degree of alignment with each country's policy objectives. Results: The results revealed that some countries have managed to achieve better performance by employing specific strategies, which can serve as a model for developing countries. Furthermore, the method of evaluating their performance and success in different events varied, with each country utilizing different and indigenous indicators to assess its success. Conclusion: In general, it can be concluded that by gaining a more precise understanding of evaluation indicators and their impacts, effective policies and programs can be designed to improve athletic performance in countries. Consequently, this research can serve as a reliable resource for researchers, policymakers, and sports practitioners. It also helps promote new perspectives in the field of sports management and performance evaluation and can pave the way for transformations in the development of sports on a global level. |
