Abstract
Abstract
Introduction: Flat feet is a three-dimensional anomaly where the arch of the feet has dropped due to improper functioning
of the foot muscles (1). The objective of this was investigated the effect of exercise on ground reaction forces in
individuals with flat feet.
Methods: For this research, articles in both Persian and English languages were searched across citation databases such
as WoS, PubMed, Springer and Google Scholar. Fifteen relevant articles were initially selected based on inclusion and
exclusion criteria and met the preliminary condition for inclusion in the study. Following a subsequent review of these
articles, seven were chosen that focused on reviewing the effect of exercise on ground reaction forces in individuals with
flat feet.
Results: The results showed that exercise intervention led to a reduction force in the anterior-posterior direction. Also,
the corrective exercises, led to a reduction force in the vertical direction during weight transfer onto the heel and forefoot.
Conclusion: It appears that exercise intervention and corrective exercises are effective in improving the ground reaction force componets
