Abstract
This study was conducted to determine the effectiveness of hypnosis on the flow state of Premier League football players in 2024. The research was applied and quasi-experimental, utilizing a pre-test-post-test design with a control group and an intervention applied to the experimental group. The statistical population consisted of football players from the Tehran Premier League, divided into two groups (experimental and control) through random and purposive sampling, totaling 20 participants, with 10 randomly selected for the intervention. Initially, a pre-test was administered to all participants. The experimental group then underwent eight hypnosis sessions, which included deep breathing, progressive relaxation, multisensory imagery focused on their previous best performance, and suggestions aimed at enhancing flow state. Finally, the Flow State Questionnaire was administered to all players. The results revealed a significant difference in the flow state of the 10 athletes in the experimental group compared to the control group. Given the notable difference between pre- and post-intervention stages, it can be concluded that hypnosis interventions effectively improved the flow state of football players. This method can be utilized to enhance the flow state of athletes in football.
